Thank you to everyone who is out marching or protesting today across Canada for the rights of trans kids to simply be themselves at school.

My step kid came out as non-binary a year ago. Their father has done everything he can to stop us, the school, their friends, and other parents from knowing and using their preferred name and pronouns.

I have to see the pain and sorrow that this is causing them everyday, and it continues to grow. Self-expression is a fundamental part of mental health.
