@georgetakei NYC also uses Ranked-Choice voting. I wonder if there are any studies to see how much impact that has had - not to take away from the campaign, but the idea that you can vote for your "favorite" without fear that it is a throwaway vote.

When I worked customer support, I learned that if I could get a customer to move from “I need this solution” to “this is my problem” I was usually able to help them better, often by suggesting something other than what they originally had in mind. Getting them from “my solution” to “my problem” wasn’t always easy.

Let’s all keep this in mind when someone says “I need this Twitter feature” that Mastodon doesn’t have.
