I'm looking for a reliable (preferably European) alternative to #Gmail. 📨📬

Uuuugh I've been putting it off for YEARS, because it's such a hassle 😩, but with #Google happily changing the Gulf of Mexico's name and now #GoogleCalendar removing cultural observances such as Black History Month, Women's History Month and Holocaust Remembrance day... I finally need to move my email from Gmail to a more ethical alternative.

Recommendations anyone? No selfhosting please. 😊

Besides "Trump rigged election", the "Elon salute" search prompt is being censored as well. Apparently Americans on TikTok can't see any videos on it anymore. TikTok users outside of the US can still find videos, but they get a pop-up saying that they can only share this content once (??)

This is active censorship befitting authoritarian regimes.

Meanwhile, can we also appreciate what an insanely historic event it is for Americans and Chinese people to have such a direct line to each other on #Rednote? 🤯

It's so interesting to watch the simple questions they ask each other. "How much do eggs cost?" and "What do you eat for breakfast?" And then they show each other through videos! But also more serious things like "do Americans really have to pay for an ambulance?" And "Is China's social credit score real?"
