Scientists are increasingly overwhelmed by the volume of articles being published. Total articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science have grown exponentially in recent years; in 2022 the article total was 47% higher than in 2016, which has outpaced the limited growth, if any, in the number of practising scientists.

@Feleki @giormatsis @foufoutos @basyl πάντως το φεντι η το μαστόντον δεν αποτελούν αντικατάσταση του Τουίτερ. Σε κάθε περίπτωση το Τ προωθήθηκε από αυτούς που το έφτιαξαν ως εναλλακτικό μέσο, γιατί ήθελαν να ανταγωνιστούν τα πραγματικά μεγαθήρια. Αλλά απέτυχαν. Μόνο κατά τη περίοδο του Τραμπ το μέσο πήρε τα πάνω του σε αρ. χρηστών. Όταν τον έδιωξαν κατέπεσε. Ειρωνικό; Βέβαια αλλά το Τ δεν είναι σημαντικό τόσο πολύ στο μεγάλο τοπίο των σοσιαλ.

@foufoutos @basyl το διάβασα το πρωί κ εχει ενδιαφέρον, αλλά σημειώνω πως βασικά αφορά Αμερικανούς. Και νομίζω πως σχετίζεται με τι expectations είχαν και τι βρήκαν. Βέβαια το δείγμα είναι περιορισμένο κ ακόμα πιο περιορισμένο είναι το bluesky, οπότε μιλάμε για εξαιρετικά συγκεκριμένο pool ατόμων κ δεν ξέρω αν μπορείς να γενικεύσεις απ' αυτά τα responses.
