First of all, I need to say that It is so good to be part of a medium that is open-source, has no adverts, and where the 'algorithm' is fundamentally the community itself. And to see it grow and develop over these 12 months

"Mastodon.world" has also been a solid selection and I must say a huge *thanks* and an even bigger *well done* to the people running it @mwadmin

Here are some very quick thoughts and reflections ⬇️

There is no comparison to be made between this medium and other conventional for-profit social media. This medium, as well as the fundamental idea of the 'fediverse' is more closely related to a 'paradigm' of how to set up an internet medium that runs contrary to current hegemonic models. As such, it belongs more to the social and solidarity economy realm.
