@verge We really need to figure out a better thumbnail paradigm for YouTube than “highlight a person in white who is making a shocked face against a multi-colored background.”

I skip so many videos that may actually be good because of that.

@verge I hope there’s a mode where you can chat with other landlords and raise rent arbitrarily then send a message to your sims that say, “Due to market prices, we have to raise rents” even though you just conspired with the other landlords to adjust the market in your favor.

@mike I have a week long vacation starting tomorrow, and I’m trying to decide if I should go to sleep now or stay up and have fun.

Sure has been quite the couple of weeks for social media.

Two weeks ago Twitter imploded, then everyone seemed excited about Threads which immediately got a bunch of terrible people on it. Now Bluesky is having its day to go kinda nuts.

At least my Masto server seems to just be chugging along just fine. Good job everyone.

@Gargron When are we getting that algorithmic feed where I can see my favorite brands talking cute at each other? That’s something that could really help.
