One of the interesting / discouraging things about owning a property for decades is that, as life changes, you end up spending a lot of effort to take apart things that you spent a lot of effort building.
Depending on my attitude at the moment, when doing this I either think "interesting how the wheel of existence goes round and round!" or "**@#$#$^%&&!!!"
