With Microsoft on the BDS list, why not try boomer shooters that aren't Doom? Project Absentia is one where instead of trying to go for low poly psx aesthetics, it's shooting for trashy newgrounds animation with amateur voice acting and tons of overly stylized drawn gore.

It also has a lot of angel theming, which means I'm going to have to play it sometime, probably on stream. Either way, it's got great weapons, cool level design, and if you're a sucker for those goofy old web animations but wish they hadn't aged so utterly terribly, it's a great choice.

one of the worst parts of our modern scam culture is how it's designed to make you feel guilty when you fall for it

you heard an interesting fact that was actually propaganda? Your fault. Fell for an image? Your fault. Got scammed money wise? Your fault

but that in itself is the biggest scam of all

don't fucking fall for it. It's not your fault when you get scammed, it's not your fault when you find a cool song and it turns out there's ai, the pain you feel in your heart isn't a personal failing it's a dream of a better world where no one feels that pain

and don't judge others who fall for shit either, just let it go and move on

none of these things are your fault, but the more you think about them on a level of "is this my fault or is it their fault" the more you consider the only options to be personal ones; you can't build a better world where these scams don't happen, only you and the scammer could change this, the govt and regulatory bodies and everyone involved does not exist

it isn't just a perfect game, it also ended in flames due to bad operators and scammers and from those flames there's no less then 3 groups claiming to be the real successor to the original group

like, if you have any job openings, I will take them! i would love to work for your company or such, I promise I can do whatever you need. Or if i can't, hell, the one interview I had where i had to say "oh i'm not qualified for this" i recommended a friend who got the job and did a great job

i've got a smattering of all over the place experience in web development, javascript, database management, data entry, i just kinda did everything. ideally i'd get a new tech job, but at this point a part time position doing data entry would be fucking incredible lol i am very tired and just want anything at this point and don't know how to look for anything

It is very funny visiting the gay nude beach in Toronto where there's like 10 signs and a rainbow path and historical markers talking about it as a queer space and nobody there

we're in the midst of a wave of retro boomer shooters and yet i haven't seen a single example of my like, favorite thing in old retro shooter games: the ability to setup private servers for bafflingly ill-conceived multiplayer modes.

Sure, there's some multiplayer throwback games, but i'm looking for a SINGLE player boomer shooter that just goes "hey wanna make a private server to kill your buddies in go nuts". i don't want a live service game i want half life multiplayer servers, ya know?
