MEMORY OF ANCIENT KINGS
“Gallos” (2016), an 8-foot tall bronze statue of an ancient king by Rubin Eynon, stands guard at the faint ruins of Tintagel Castle in Cornwall. The site is thought to have been a summer residence for the kings of Dumnonia between the late 4th and late 8th centuries, i.e., between the end of Roman rule in Britain and the Anglo-Saxon period.
