The fediverse might have missed its opportunity to be the next Twitter, but I think that’s fine? I still log in every day to see what my fellow nerds are up to and it’s a very cool community.

It’s amazing how good The Dig looks for a VGA game with only 256 colours. This was one of the last big games released in standard VGA and people had gotten quite good at working within its limitations.

It also includes "Roottreemania", a brand new mystery to solve with a bunch of extra puzzles and a new family tree to fill in.

Time and time again we relearn the lesson that private, for profit entities like Reddit and Twitter will always screw over their communities without a second thought.

Mastodon or Discourse might be more expensive or technical to run the way your community would like, but they can never pull the rug out from underneath you.
