@kims He's a far from perfect candidate, despite having shown a definite appeal, but he may be what Maine Dems are stuck with. In which case, I hope there are no more skeletons in his closet. I don't envy Maine voters.

@kims Most people don't like talking about unpleasant stuff from their past. That's not a sign they haven't changed/rethought their behavior, it's just a sign that their human. And yes, someone running for office should know that any bad stuff from their past will eventually come out in a heated campaign and act accordingly, but they often don't due to some combination of ego and self-deception -- see, for example, Eric Swalwell. I have no idea how real Platner's evolution is, but he's not likely to be a Trump enabler like Susan Collins.
