When we say Republicans are weird, this is the kinda shit we're talking about.
Like seriously, who the fuck asked about that?!

I'm the kind of person who would see a cat scritching themselves under their chin and I would start making noises along with it. Then they'd stop and look at me like I'm the weird one.
Sarcasm: because snapping a neck is frowned upon in the court of law
Uh oh, a dingo got put on his back and has paws aaaaall over him. How in the world did thaaaaat happen~?
Even more broadly, when it comes to Disaster Relief, that deluge of donations that I referred to earlier actually has another name: "The Second Disaster".
Because so many supplies get sent in that not all of them can even be used, effectively wasting their usefulness.
The best way to actually give effectively , outside of the blood example which I talked about earlier, is actually to donate money. This allows areas affected by disaster to best figure out what they can afford to get rather than having a bunch of people deciding their needs for them.
If this all made anyone feel bad, I do apologize as that was never my intent.
Giving is a great thing, and its an even better thing when we do it in a rational, responsible manner.
If you are going to donate blood, I highly recommend you just do it at regular, healthy intervals. Please please PLEASE(!!!) do not wait until you get a call for your specific blood type or for these relief efforts.
You just might help better stretch supplies better that way.
Let's talk about item donations now. This is another point of inefficiency in the way that we give. For instance, did you know that roughly half of the food that's donated to food pantries has to be tossed out? Mostly because people use it to empty their pantries.

So, I wanna talk about the recent Hurricanes.
NO!!!!! Not like that. No political stuff.
What I actually want to talk about is Hurricane and Disaster Relief.
Because a lot of the way that we look at providing relief, while well-intentioned, is actually kind of backwards.
The best way I can describe our approach to relief is reactionary. We typically, as a people, wait until there's a big disaster and then dump a deluge of donations on the affected areas. Again, well-intentioned, but this has consequences.
Let's take one example quick: Donating Blood. That is easily one of if not the most frequent response to disaster relief.
Donating blood is great, and I absolutely encourage people to do it. But when everybody rushes to do it for disaster relief, a lot of it actually ends up being wasted.
You can't just accuse a 3 day old account not having activity on it of being a spam account.
They haven't even said anything. And again. They're three. Days. Old.
Some people have lives that don't revolve around this platform. And that's okay.
Do not. Report. Someone. That hasn't. Done. Anything. Wrong. Literally anything.
That is literally tantamount to a witch hunt at that point.
If they post things later that prove spam worthy, we will take that up at that time. But for now, leave them the heck alone and stop trying to create trouble where none exists.
@SleepyChi Yeah that was the same for me :C
@SleepyChi I'm missing out too. Not visible anywhere in my area. :(
@HoptheScorbunny if you don't mind :3
@HoptheScorbunny gib pls
Caring about people?
Now that's hot.
Dare I say it.
Sexy.
Wait, the increase in California's Fast Food Minimum Wage...DIDN'T lead to cut jobs or significant price increases?
GEE!!!! FUCKING IMAGINE THAT!!!
@ottersparx nor mine. I expected Konami to just shit up the place as usual.
Why this was not done from the start is quite honestly baffling to me.
This entire series of events involving the banning of babyfurs has been completely misguided.
Straight up, it feels like they were fighting a war against babyfurs. A war that they're clearly losing.
You don't fuck around with the babyfurs.
"Sooooo what you're saying is you have this problem that is TOOOOOOTALLY your problem but you would like to try to find a way to make that problem my problem. But here's the problem, newbie:
It's not my problem."
If you live in an area where voter suppression is rampant, remember this phrase by any means possible.
