We’ve just launched an emergency #crowdfunding campaign to help save New Internationalist and protect more than 50 years of independent reader-owned #journalism.

We’re thrilled to have already reached 20% of the £150,000 target, with readers donating from across the globe – proving that people-powered journalism still has a community willing to defend it.

But we’re not out of danger yet. Early support has helped us hit the ground running but we’re still a long way off from securing NI for the coming months.
