Lot of folks are understandably scared and upset over the results of the vote.
I want to draw attention away from the vote, to events long past in the age of the 60 minute news cycle.
There was an acting strike in 2023, and during that you might recall one of the Hollywood execs said to hold out on the picketers because they'll come back to work for cheap when they start losing their houses over the strike right.
Legendary actor Ron Perlman famously responded to that executive with a fiery video that immediately went viral on social media, where among other things, he reminded the executive that there is more than one way to lose your house.
What's my point? My point is that diversity of tactics is necessary in the fight to not only defend one's own rights, but to liberate the oppressed from their oppressors. If you thought voting was the only thing you could do, you are gravely wrong, and frankly that line of thought is a significant contributing factor to how we got here. You need to be on picket lines. Engage in mutual aid. Withhold your labor. Learn to be criminal - because whether you're comfortable with it or not, if you intend to resist and fight for a better tomorrow, you're going to be labeled a criminal. And for God's sake, no matter how bad shit gets, the next 4 years is not the time to try to "debate" gun control, it's time for you to embrace firearms and hit the range.
There's more than one way to lose your house.
There's more than one way to beat fascists, but the ballot box method isn't working.
