I'm just saying, being a Super Bowl contender, you can't have parts of your offense that just don't work. I have faith in MM as much as DQ.

All I was saying is that (Dak->Ferguson 2/7) is exactly the type of thing I'd expect quality sports journalists to highlight, but nobody's mentioned it.

With all this quality analysis of the #Cowboys 40-0 tromping of the #Giants, why is nobody talking about the elephant in the passing room?

Ferguson caught only 2 of his 7 targets. He was by far the worst receiver on the field Sunday.

The passing game was the only blot on the record, and you can't get too mad about a 40-0 smackdown, but he and Dak need to get on the same page or this offense goes nowhere.

We know what Cooks is too: he gets 1,000 yards wherever he is, whatever QB is throwing to him. And Gallup last year was an anomaly... He admits he was in his own head. We know what he did before his injury.

I genuinely think we have three 1,000 yard receivers this year and Dak sets a new franchise TD record.

I think our passing game is as unstoppable as the O-line allows it to be. Tyron gets hurt, Steele isn't 100%, someone regresses... We're screwed. Other than that, gold.

I'm still waiting for the Cowboys to trade for Cedrick Wilson. He'd round out our wideout room and give us the best foursome in the league. Having four legit starter-quality receivers is not optional for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.

After Hopkins indicated that he wouldn't want to play with Dak, he can go play with himself.

We've got the cap space, we've got picks. WTF are we waiting for?

Bullshit. Cutting three days out of the rest schedule absolutely affects player health and safety negatively. This is just another instance of the #NFL burying its head when there's money on the table.

At some point, basic decency and a minimal amount of humanity needs to overcome greed.

You can put a cherry on this offseason right now by trading a low pick to get Cedrick Wilson back from Miami (#FinsUp).

That would give us not the best duo, not the best trio, but the best foursome of receivers in the #NFL. If Tolbert tuns out the way I think, maybe the best fivesome.

We know dude can play; what he did in Miami last year was criminal misuse.

@Jerm What worries me is if his principles and scheme don't get updated and evolved for the modern era. He last called plays ~5 years ago. Is his scheme even still viable? Will he update it and put in the deception and motion that needs to be part of any modern offense?

The headline is not a surprise to anyone who was watching, but the numbers tell an interesting story.

Dalton Schultz, who made many "business decisions" this season and just looked uninterested, was the worst EPA by target. Zeke wasn't much above.

This, to me, is just more evidence that we need to move on from both. RJ Ochoa is absolutely right; we need more impact receivers.

I can't really blame some of the other guys at the bottom:

- Gallup was recovering from a freaking ACL. Give him a break! He'll be himself next year.

- Hendershot, Turpin, and Tolbert weren't used enough, and two of them are rookies. Give them time.

- Washington barely got to put his stuff in his locker before we was run out of town. Do we even know what he could do?

- Houston was targeted exactly 6 times. Not enough data.

Sift out the guys with <10 targets and the pic is even more clear.

A few conclusions stand out to me:

- It's time to let Zeke and Schultz go.
- We absolutely need Pollard back.
- If T.Y. wants another shot at a ring on the cheap, I'd be ecstatic to have him.
- Tolbert needs to progress and produce.
- We need another stud. Whether that's a high draft pick or a trade (Hopkins?), do it.
- Gallup will be better.
- Noah Brown needs to be gone too. His blocking isn't enough reason to rob Dak of a reliable target, and Noah made 1/3 of Dak's picks.
