There has never been something more cowardly, embarrassing, or disrespectful to the oath as a bunch of soldiers standing with weapons ready to attack Americans in Los Angeles.

Every single soldier taking part of this illegal deployment brings shame on their branch, division, and unit that will never wash off. I am keeping notes and I will never forget this affront to the Constitution. (1/2)

I didn't think I would have to explain this on the Fediverse, but since I am still seeing people finger wag about the Waymos:

Google and Waymo are legitimate targets. They flat out said they would be providing footage from their cars to the police and other agencies. Disabling those cars is an act against the belligerent combatants themselves.

If tech wants to become Trump's new panopticon supplier, they can and should be under the understanding that they aren't neutral third parties.

Just throwing this out there, but you can get a really solid set of Level IV ceramic body armor plates for a few hundred dollars if you look around. It levels the playing field and thanks to the wonders of capitalism you can get them in mere days right to your door!

I need to be pretty real with you, it may actually come down to having to make hard choices in the US in the near future. The threats to rendition American citizens to El Salvador for any reason, much less the specious and blatant lies being trotted out by this fascist regime, require very different calculus going forward. Do not obey their wishes to stop protesting. Do not obey their direct threat on your speech, morals, and conscience. Make a plan and figure out what you will do if they come for you. This sounds freaking insane to be typing out but the threat is far, far too great to shrug off. A sitting President of the United States is openly saying this is what he plans to do. I have never been more proud to be from the Carolinas in my entire life. The amount of selfless sacrifice from my neighbors and people from other states and cities has been overwhelming.

Met a crew of linesmen helping us out here today, and they are from all backgrounds, political stripes, and codes and their only driving mission is to help us here and it is truly emotional for me.

I talk a lot of shit about the worst of the South, but this isn't one of those times
