I honestly can’t even begin to imagine how difficult and complex it must be to standardize and build a system that bridges countless platforms and interactions in the ActivityPub-fediverse, especially when the WordPress ecosystem itself is rapidly evolving with block themes and new paradigms.

@obenland @pfefferle Still, thank you for carrying this work forward. Even from afar, it’s inspiring to witness your effort and dedication. Please remember that there are people who truly appreciate and believe in what you’re building.

@obenland @pfefferle But — at the same time, I’m genuinely excited. Imagining, building, and knowing that someday others will get to use and enjoy this makes every bit of passion and time feel worthwhile. Despite the language barrier and the difference in our fields, it feels frustrating not to be able to help more — I wish I knew how to code so we could tackle the implementation side by side.

@obenland @pfefferle As a non-developer and a designer, even just trying to understand the structure and suggest ideas for redesign sometimes leaves me wondering how on earth this could actually be implemented. At those moments, all I can do is trust and rely on the people like you who carry this enormous weight, and to be honest, I sometimes feel a little guilty about that.

@obenland @pfefferle WordPress has its own long history, and ActivityPub has developed in its own way — naturally, trying to harmonize these two worlds must come with countless limitations, conflicts, and moments where you ask yourself, “Why am I even doing this?”
