Devs: Let's add a "schema.version: keyword" field to our event logging, so we can change the version number when other things change.

Also devs: Some people are adding the version field even when they provide the wrong structure for the required data

Also devs big brain solution: Let's invent a new field called "schema.compliant: boolean" so people can say whether they are using the named version properly or not.

@futzle @mike I was so confused about that one that I had to find an IPA reading website, just to hear it pronounce your word correctly.

@feld I've reinstalled my OS too many times now, I've started to look at the error messages to figure out *why* things don't work.

But hardware? That still takes the "work out what sequence of rebooting, unplugging, and software configing makes a difference ... and then *change nothing*"
