@GNUxeava just werks man, more specifically xfwm. Avoid so many headaches thanks to it. Shove it in windowed mode -> xfwm fullscreen, maybe transparency. Shit werks.

@valerauko It's a feature of thedesk.top. I assume it's also in misskey, I suspect that's where cutls got the idea from.
When I do my own client I'll just do it like pulse where you can make virtual TLs and feed anything into anything, and output whatever to wherever.
