Hello! I'm Glitch, a black and orange Chicago cat who enjoys computers, code, and coffee. I'm a huge nerd for networking and cybersecurity, Linux-based distros, and Python.

I've been involved in the furry fandom since 2013, made many friends along the way, worked on many projects, and now I volunteer for conventions.

Have we come up with a name yet for people who think that AI will be the answer to everything and redefine humanity as we know it? Like "cryptobros" but for AI nutjobs.

More generally speaking, I feel like there is a word -- or if there isn't one -- there should be a word for "Someone so vehemently supportive of something that no other consideration of logic or morals occurs."

Hello world! I am now on Mastodon!

Now that I've been here for a week or so, I wish that I had joined the fediverse sooner.

I don't necessarily want to be considered one of "those people" who only came here to flock from the bird site. I've known about Mastodon for a while, and played around with getting my own instance about a year ago. Always wanted to try it out, but the recent acquisition of bird site was the final push to get me to do so.

I don't see Mastodon as an alternative, I see it as its own thing.

Maybe I should start offering my OCD as a service, because capitalism.
Do you have a task that needs to be done perfectly? Do you need every little detail meticulously inspected? Are time constraints not a concern for you? I'm your guy!

Mastodon puts much more emphasis on adding alt-text to images than the bird site does. It's very effective for me, personally.

Man, I absolutely love Windows Update. Truly flawless software. No problems at all. It's quick and works every time. /s
