1972 #BMW Turbo Concept (E25) - 2-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, mid-mounted, Kugelfischer fuel-injected engine with 280 hp (208 kW) @ 5,200 rpm. 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.6 seconds. 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) in 15.7 seconds with a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h) - 2 units were produced. M535i - 3.5 liter, six-cylinder, Bosch L-Jetronic fuel-injected M90 engine with 218 hp (160 kW) @ 5,200 rpm (South African models had 214 hp (157 kW) @ 5,200 rpm) - 304 Nm / 224 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4,000 rpm - 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds - 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 142 mph (228 km/h) - 3,066 units were produced between 1979 and 1984.
