Ok Saturn doesn't open til 10. I guess I'll look for a park.
Ah btw the Night Jet arrived at around 8.35. That's around a 40m delay from schedule. Since we left Basel about 1.40h late, the conductor must have stepped on it!! :flipando:

Ok I concede Hamburg! I'm wearing pants and a hoodie... I had to travel about 2500km north to finally surrender to the cold :flan_hug:
It doesn't help that the sun is super shy this morning. I guess I have to get used to it eheh
But hey, at least this view is something
About the Night Jet!
Ok, I think I will not be traveling in a night train without a bed again. It can be done, and it is cheaper. I survived. But at least for me it's not very pleasant.
I assume much of it has to do with the shape of your body. I'm thin and kind of tall, and that's the worst shape to sleep in hard chairs! Even if you have 3 of them to yourself ahah I slept for around 5.30h and rested laying down for about 2h more.
This was my room. Sorry for the poor picture! There were 6 seats, 3 on either side. The chairs are a lot less comfortable than the TGV ones. And there were a lot of people in even worse seats! My cabin had a door, you could shut down the lights and control AC (although weirdly, only temperature, not flow).
I had to try a bunch of weird positions, including using the table in the middle ahah eventually I slept straight across the 3 chairs.
All bags went on the overhead shelf.
I shared the cabin with only 1 other person. He was nice, but we didn't talk much. He came from Zurich and left in Bremen. I gave him same hazelnuts. If you're reading this, I gave the necklace piece you lost to the staff with your label so they can find you! :ablobcatheart:
That's always nice 🏳️🌈
Edit: oh shit there's actually like 4 of them all around this little lake on the roofs of different buildings!
Heyyy! Although I'm on the train on my way to Copenhagen and it's going well (left precisely on time!), @panduck has warned me that the Oslo-Bergen train will most likely (very very likely) not run, because of a rainstorm. And even the buses are getting full! So that's my job for right now. To figure out how to not get stuck in Oslo eheh
I'm also... Gonna need a raincoat, it seems 🌊
Ok I just bought a ticket for tomorrow, Göteburg-Olso, and then the day after (friday) Oslo-Bergen.
Let's hope it's solved by then!! If not, I will be waiting in Oslo until the storm passes over.
I did not choose to go by bus because the only one available was a night bus and... yeah I'm not doing that again ahah
Now I just have to find accommodation is Oslo :pensive_party_blob:
Ok I've found some cool stuff, but I'll actually not book anything until I'm a bit more optimistic about whether or not the friday morning Oslo-Bergen train will happen ahah
I play the waiting game, clouds! 🌧️
Officially in #Denmark! 🇩🇰
It's always weird to me how such cold countries like Denmark, #Sweden and #Norway have such rich flora. Plants can really survive in every environment, huh?
I missed the pictures of the huge bridge!! I'm sorry ahah so one was a bridge, the other a tunnel under water. Very coooool :ablobjam:
The pic below is the view at land after crossing to the "Copenhagen island"
Arrived in Copenhagen eheh late by 1 measly minute. Shame it wasn't 0 ahah
I have about 1 hour to burn so I'll take some photos! It's my first time in Copenhagen and Denmark
I'm a little dizzy for sitting still. My body is used to always being balancing around. Not good ahah
Also, I think I see my first day-drunk guys at a shop. They left running saying "Bon Voyage" (they weren't french ahah)
My short trip to probably what will be one of my favourite cities in the world! Ahah
I liked these photos, tbh. The classic mountain of bikes, and a simple view from the station door. Also, Ukraine 🇺🇦
This is my train for the next few hours! It will (hopefully) take me to Mölndal! :catroll:
It's surprisingly nice. Remember, tough, I'm in 1st class. Still, for a regional train, this is super comfy and fancy looking. Modern and slick. I wish my country could have trains like these!
The only bad part about this train is that it stops at the airport :blobcatgiggle:
Turns out the water in the tracks is worse than expected so it will only take me to Falkenberg. From there there's a replacement bus to Göteburg!
I'm in Sweden! 🇸🇪 Eheheh
Look at the view from the bridge, y'all!!
Huge off shore wind farm out there! Is that even good? Ahah it's at least impressive :blobcatscared:
Alriiiight another update. The replacement bus from Falkenberg to Göteburg is not happening. They want us to take a cab and send the receipt in for a reimbursement. But that sounds shaky at best.
Not sure what I'll do, to be honest. I'm kinda f***ed.
I will figure it out! :blobcatreading:
Ah! A nice man says that taxi should cost around 1500DKK which is about 150€. Not the best for my budget, but what are you gonna do? Fight climate change? Lol
At least I'll get to split the 2500DKK (~250€). Even if I get nothing back, that's not too bad...
