Our parents were so convinced of the benefit of then-new #PolioVaccine that we were vaccinated 2x - first when the Sabin vaccine came out, then 6yrs later with the longer-lasting Salk vaccine.

They loved us, had confidence in medicine, science and the FDA, and wanted us to be well-protected agnst the scourge of #polio.
