State police and Hennepin County sheriffs in riot gear arrested up to 54 protesters Saturday afternoon at the Whipple Federal Building following a day of actions that culminated in protesters throwing hundreds of dildos.

Today is #ICEout day in Minnesota with high temps reaching -11°F and masses are protesting at MSP Airport while hundreds are outside the Whipple Federal Building. On one side, a blockade prevents ICE vehicles from driving thru while ice balls are thrown at vehicles on the other side. At least two arrests so far.

On February 17, the trial of nine people connected to a July 4, 2025 protest outside Alvarado, Texas’s Prairieland immigration detention center begins. Now that Sanchez Estrada is going to trial, he’s looking at four decades behind bars and deportation.

NEW: Far-right agitator Jayden Scott was detained by federal agents at the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on Jan. 15 after instigating violence. He was released a short a time later. It's unclear if he was charged with anything. Scott and violent pro-ICE activist Zak X along with Gregor Butzow and another one or two people attempted to provoke the anti-ICE protesters. That was Scott's second time trolling the protest seeking fights.

Before today's Minneapolis City Council meeting, Council Members Soren Stevenson, Jamal Osman and Robin Wonsley spoke about an eviction moratorium and a proposed ordinance that would pause rents during the federal raids that are happening in Minneapolis.

"Rent is the first thing that they fall behind not because they're irresponsible, but because they are trying to stay safe," said Council Member Jamal Osman.

Council Member Robin Wonsley called on Gov. Tim Walz issue an eviction moratorium during immigration raids via executive order.

"They shoot indiscriminately. They brutalize our community and they tear families apart," Council Member Jason Chavez said as he began to cry.

Breaking: There are reports going around in recent minutes that federal agents did some kind of shooting in North Minneapolis, though no fatality is reported.
