Truly a historic moment. A young woman who had to sell scrap metal & homemade food to pay the bus fare to get to and from the gym—is now an Olympic Gold Medal Champion!❤️

Just saw Kamala Harris’s response to protestors and y’all this ain’t it.

This was a golden opportunity to show empathy to people in deep pain because their family is suffering torture, famine, displacement, & genocide. They don’t want Trump to win. They want the suffering to stop. Don’t push them away. Invite them in.

She should remedy this asap. This is the moment to lean into empathy and humanity. These aren’t MAGAs you shut down—they’re people willing to vote for you. Hear them.

Watching Imane Khelif's father embrace his daughter to elevate her and praise her (and without resorting to anti-trans fearmongering btw) has been a breath of fresh air during these Olympics.

He's lifting Imane up without tearing anyone else down. That's fatherhood. That's love.

WW tears are so powerful that Angela Carini will get $50K Olympic prize money for dropping out of her bout against Imane Khelif after 46 seconds.

"I couldn't look at her tears" Int'l Boxing Assoc President Kremlev said.

Khelif gets demonized. Carini gets paid. What a world.

Paris Olympics have:

But the most hate by far is reserved for an Algerian Muslim woman because she committed the crime of being good at boxing 😐
