It was never about life. It was always about control of women. This is yet another reason we need gauranteed universal healthcare outside the control of state law. Healthcare is a human right that must follow science and standard of care—not the whims of extremist and misogynistic politicians.

The 5th district federal appeals court has ruled that ERs are not required to perform life-saving abortions if it would run afoul of Texas state law.

Texas is simultaneously arguing that a fetus has rights greater than the mother, and that a Texas Prison guard who lost her child to still birth death when her supervisor denied her a break cannot be compensated because a fetus has no rights.

This horrific ruling will kill women and children. This isn’t an opinion—it’s a documented fact…

Today is the 131-year-anniversary of Wounded Knee Massacre. The US Government took their land, broke a treaty and guarantee to give them food and supplies, then sent the U.S. Army, who killed 300 Lakota including 60 women & children😓

The US Govt then:
•Awarded 20 medals of honor to the soldiers guilty of genocide
•Refused to pay reparations or build a memorial
•Waited 100 years to apologize

Let’s be clear. Palestinian journalists said this since Day 1 and those who believed them were ridiculed or called antisemitic.

Now the NYT confirms “Israel claims it protects civilians, but a NYT investigation found at least 200 times Israel dropped its most destructive bombs in areas it designated as safe for civilians in Gaza.”

That’s no accident—it’s policy. Where is the accountability? #CeasefireNOW

On Christmas Day, Israel is bombing Bethlehem—where Jesus was born. TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, Bethlehem is not in Gaza. It's in the West Bank. Bethlehem is not run by Hamas. It's illegally occupied by Israel.
