I've seen several articles lately that lists #european and/or free, #opensource and #privacy respecting alternatives to american commercial services and software, like mail, SoMe, cloud storage etc. But what are some recommendations for hardware, like laptops/computers and phones, including their OS? #Linux ? But on what hardware? And what about phones? I'm particularly interested in stuff that would be possible to use for moderately- or non-technical people. @ueeu

The norwegian mail service (Posten) this year opted to make their annual xmas-themed stamps with #generativeAI. The article is in #norwegian, but I'll translate (myself, without AI) my favourite passage from it, which I find absolutely magical:
Journalist:
"Grafill (organization for illustrators) alleges that Posten in this way contributes to legitimize use of machine learning models built on copyright infringement?"Posten spokesperson:
"That's difficult to answer, because that's the way AI works."
