I think its easy for vaguely-left spaces online to center everything around what vaguely-left people online can do-

And lopsided US election are way out of the hands what vaguely-left spaces can influence-

Its frustrating. Infuriating. But we can't make strategy decisions like "we need different messaging" for US dems if we're not running the campaign with the data, the money, the ads, etc.

Been taking a break from social media considering recent events and I think I'm finally ready to talk about my thoughts with the elections-

I am:
-Distraught
-Surprised
-Alienated
-Kinda mad

My first major thought was "the democrats didn't run a coherent campaign" and its a sensation I've been stuck with. The election wasn't close, and there was no plan or acknowledgement around that from the dems.
