    this is a nicer Prussian saber than the one you linked imo, but just keep in mind this is for decorative presentation only. it is not worth the risk of injury from swinging them around and it breaking again :supernervous:

    Just tried sparring for the first time with a sallet helm over my fencing mask. The limited vision is a lot to overcome but it is to be expected... i also took a heavy hit to the head and it felt totally fine :hema_sweat:

    I think you should! Although it may be hard to find a fencing club for adults outside being a member by attending a university to join. Most public modern fencing schools cater to the youth, at least where I am.

    I definitely recommend looking to see if there is a nearby historical fencing club you could join. It’s still a small community of practitioners but it is growing in popularity.
