In the spring of 2024, a local comic shop asked Doctor Popular to illustrate a promotional t-shirt for an upcoming fundraiser. The original design, "Batman Devouring His Young", was rejected by the comic shop upon review.

Mission Comics asked me to design a t-shirt as part of their "Save Mission Comics" fundraiser. The shirt will be available in a few weeks, but you can sign up to get notified when they are available. Question for my fedi friends: what happens here if a government makes these demands on the fediverse? I'm guessing it would be up to each server admin if they chose to follow those government requests, right? Have we seen anything like this happen on Mastodon servers yet?

I spotted this copper-plated microcar in West Oakland yesterday. This BMW Isetta is owned by the Truffle Man. He calls it the "Fudge Buggy" and occasionally uses it as a point of sale for his chocolate business. #BMW #Isetta

I took a train to Sacramento today. The second we got off the train, I started playing with my #yoyo and this stranger walks buy and asks “have you heard of Doctor Popular?”. I said “that’s me” and we chatted for a minute. It turns out I was talking to #AndySinger, a cartoonist from Minneapolis that was a major influence on me and my art. It’s funny we bumped into each other in a town neither of us live in. I’ll write more about him, and the impact he had on my life, soon.
