Ideally, this would be playable online without needing an account to hear it.

Nightshade, the AI data poisoning tool, is now available. Artists and photographers can use this defensive tool to prevent their work from being used without permission for AI training models. It's free and easy to use, and it works well on my original art (see attached).

Even if you are personally fine with AI companies using your work without permission, we should all be using whatever tools we have until these companies switch to using ethically sourced models.

Almost all of my favorite events this year were found via a sheet of paper.

I think some artists and organizers are intentionally trying to keep things IRL, so they totally skip the traditional web promotion (creating a website or sending links to folks like Stuart or Johnny Funcheap).

I think about this a lot as someone who wants to promote local events yet doesn't have time to share every cool flier.

To celebrate the solstice, Raining Chainsaws are hosting a Night Parade tonight through the Mission District in SF.

The gathering will commence at Precita Park. At 6pm they’ll start their slow march to Dolores Park.

Cleaned a couple of gutters today between rainstorms. Cleaned 10 corners before we ran out of bags. I still remember a few gutters got really flooded a few years back, so we try to keep them clean before that becomes a problem again.

In 2024 San Francisco, more people have been killed by drivers (34) than by homicides (33).

Of the 34 traffic fatalities, 22 were pedestrians. Yet, SF politicians seem more focused on property crime and other exaggerated threats than addressing the growing danger pedestrians face every time they cross the street.

Working on an 8-page mini-comic about the time I got stuck in a bowl at a skate park. I think the story is pretty solid, but I’ve really struggled to get this comic finished over the years.

Question for webdev friends: I have been adding audio blocks to the top of my blog posts. Should I be overly concerned about the size of those files and their impact on page loading?
