i have a small question about good taste:

if a friend has done a little drawing that i have purchased and wish to have framed, but it was not done originally with the intention of commerce and sits off-centre on the page, what would be the best way to have it mounted/framed?

would it be a sin against art to trim the page? should i have a mat cut in such a way as to centre the artwork in a frame without damaging the page (very large option)? or frame it as is?

so i bought a fan that was on sale at superstore, only to find when i got it home that the fan blades were engineered to be as cheap and buzzy as possible per unit of air moved. so i returned it, went to the hardware store, checked the reviews on their app, and got a slightly more expensive fan that was much more highly rated.

but when i got it home, i realized it's the exact same as the fan we had running in another room already. so basically i know how the piña colada people felt
