Found my favorite unexpected smart home gadget of CES. This keyboard has Matter! Use the fn button and pressing the F1-12 keys will fire Matter based events 😃

The Open Home Foundation ensures that this focus can never change. One big missing piece of the Open Home has been voice. After two years of hard work, this week will go down in history as a major leap towards giving the Open Home an independent voice.

@badnetmask Getting the hardware, Wyoming etc can soon be replaced with our hardware. Then it’s “just” running and configuring local AI.

It is important that voice assistants only listen when a user says the wake word, but this is not an easy task! To increase the accuracy of microWakeWord, we need recordings from people from all over the world saying wake words.

We created a website that allows you to help us by recording yourself with your phone or computer and contribute them to the collective. We're starting with one wake word, and are working with the community to decide which to add next.
