Windows Update est maintenant sensible au carbone À compter de Windows 11, version 22H2, Windows Update est désormais sensible au carbone, ce qui permet à vos appareils de réduire plus facilement les émissions de carbone. Lorsque les appareils sont branchés, allumés, connectés à Internet et que des données régionales sur l’intensité des émissions de carbone sont disponibles, Windows Update planifieront des installations à des moments spécifiques de la journée (lorsque cela peut entraîner des émissions de carbone plus faibles, car une plus grande proportion de l’électricité provient de sources moins carbonées sur le réseau électrique). Nous avons également apporté des modifications aux paramètres d’alimentation par défaut de l’écran et de la veille afin de réduire les émissions de carbone lorsque les ordinateurs sont inactifs. Vous pouvez toujours contourner cette fonction et choisir d’installer les mises à jour immédiatement dans la page Windows Update dans Paramètres. Lorsque la fonctionnalité est en cours d’exécution, le message s’affiche dans la capture d’écran suivante sur la page Paramètres Windows Update. Le message affiché dans Windows Update lors de la hiérarchisation de l’installation des mises à jour en arrière-plan peut entraîner une réduction des émissions de carbone, car une plus grande proportion de l’électricité provient de sources à faible émission de carbone sur le réseau électrique.
