Another thing that is really fun about Magic University is it’s one of the series of mine that spurred a lot of creativity among readers 💕. Like this hat 🎩 a steampunk costumer made that incorporates the tarot reading Kyle gets in book one.

The hat has a lovely black and blue veil and I wore it to a few Wizarding balls back in the day! (Back when HP fandom was going strong and we so innocently embraced it… 😭)

The bears though, really blew my mind. The crafter who made these put so much detail in! Here’s Alex, wearing Doc Martens (yellow stitching) and a Harvard logo “Veritas” t-shirt and cargo pants with real working pockets !

Kyle is not only in a flannel shirt and jeans, he’s carrying a book bag with working zipper and inside the bag he’s carrying a tiny tarot card set and has a journal with one of the poems he wrote in it! And other details but no spoilers 😅

Frost is in his formal prep school style of housewear including white buttondown Oxford shirt and tie and jacket with the Gladius house sword crest.

These bears sit on my desk and judge me when I’m not getting any writing done 😅. I love them 💕

Our hotel is right by Pasadena city hall and Plaza de las Fuentes, and every time I’ve left the hotel I’ve seen multiple wedding parties, brides, and quinceñera photo shoots. Today though it was two gay bears in leather chaps and harnesses 🖤💕🏳️🌈🖤💕 (also wedding photos)
