All of the technologies being used by Israel to commit genocide against Palestinians will ultimately be used against us by our own governments.

Perhaps not to commit genocide—perhaps just to maintain and consolidate power—but nonetheless.

And no one will come to save us either.

These technologies are not limited to drones, munitions, weapons, and surveillance equipment either.

They include the propaganda, online ops, media control mechanisms, and other information warfare technologies already being used by our governments.

Those are now being honed.

For the sake of future generations, we need to be clear about both the horrors AND about how stupid everything is at the same time.

Previous recorders of history failed us by not emphasizing the stupidity—and its presence is one of the reasons the horrors aren’t taken seriously.

I’m at a stage in my #ActuallyAutistic life when I’m considering ceasing trying to have conversations with anyone unless I know they give me the benefit of the doubt.

Whether I’m talking or writing, I get exhausted.

I’m not sure I owe anyone that anymore. I probably never did.

You know why I write so well?

Because I’ve been studying language as a system since before I could walk or talk. In my autistic mind, there is writing perfectly or not writing.

I had to study how to write conversational tone because my formal style is off-putting for allistics.

When I interact with people who read things into what I say that I DID NOT SPECIFICALLY SAY, then I am tasked not only with the effort of the initial construction but also with discerning the allistic assumptions laid on top of it and CLEANING UP A MISUNDERSTANDING THEY CREATED.

I have to try to do it all while conveying a tonal smile that also takes extra effort.

Because without the tonal smile—often conveyed with hedging phrases or emojis (which to allistics also don’t mean their face value)—then my words are interpreted as hostile or condescending.

What we’re seeing with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes is the beginnings of what could become a multi-racial Christianist coalition organized around antisemitism.

While we might want to dismiss what we’re seeing as “crazy,” I suggest we take it seriously and monitor it closely.

As we saw with Trumpism, people—by which I mean human beings regardless of political views—are drawn to spectacle.

What’s happening is very, very dangerous.

I hate to say this because I adore my fellow tweeps, but some of the least effective content on here right now are auto-posted tweets.

They’re visually off-putting, and the content sometimes doesn’t translate well for this environment.
