Drop-in replacement for an LED display controller :3 I have 5 of those displays. Funnily enough, those were the first passenger information displays I ever owned, I got 4 of them after writing to transport operators all across Germany, and one recently from a friend. Back then, I designed a replacement controller with a simple Arduino Nano, which was my first custom PCB ever. That was around 10 years ago. About time to refresh those displays with something more modern!

The benefits of a working inventory management system: Checking which parts I needed to buy was super quick and easy. Turns out I have everything in stock except for the Ethernet chip and RJ45 jack as well as most of the pluggable terminal blocks!

Unfortunately, those are the most expensive parts :neofox_shocked:

I laid 87 meters of LED string all around my home for the ✨vibes✨ :3 don't judge the janky power injection points too hard uwu

Software wise, nothing exciting, just WLED integrated into Home Assistant.

I think the end result is pretty cozy :neofox_floof_happy:

- feet (ft) are now paws (pw)
- yards (yd) are now tails (ta)
- ounces (oz) are now pounces (pc)

@janamarie ever since I noticed that SMD reels often seem to be the same as tape reels :D
