Saw this on BlueSky but this is so true. I can't do a "normal job". Often, I can barely do the "job" I have - housework and writing about games. I've had to reduce even blogging down from 1 post/week because, well, I can't do what I used to.

#ChronicIllness and #ChronicPain are horrid, but they're also incredibly annoying, preventing us doing what we want to do.

I'd love to reduce housework, but unfortunately you can't actually do that while also living in the space you clean.

As here I see FibroJedi as a name rather than a brand, because then I'm a person not a service, so does it matter if my avatar doesn't match my gender?

I don't know with these things, because I don't want to give people an inaccurate impression either.

I managed to upgrade my #NVIDIA driver from 535 to 550... without a boot error or #Linux Kernel Panic.

I'm not sure what to think any more. I just gained three hours during which I expected to be crying...

@dpnash @inthehands It assumes people don't make decisions after a split second, but some of us like to pause and think before clicking. Apparently that's a bad thing 🤣.

I use FB messenger and post to my blog's page, but haven't used the feed properly in years. When I post personally I call it "hit and run". I post something then check back days later to see if anyone saw it. usually not. Which is fine.

@inthehands Oh, my wife has this all the time and Facebook is the worst for it. She spots a useful video, or a helpful post. Minutes later, sometimes seconds, it's gone, and she can't find it because the algo's moved onto the next "thing it thinks you want".

There's a strange culture on #WordPress plugin support threads: marking them as "resolved" even if they're not resolved.

It doesn't look good to have unresolved support questions as it makes people less likely to try your plugin out.

But at the same time, simply replying to a question is not "resolving" it either. It kinda makes me feel a bit dismissed.

My "self esteem" is already good at dismissing myself or my needs without others reinforcing my warped view.
