Hey, if you, like me, are a US citizen who's had your books/stories/articles stolen by Meta to train AI, you can submit your name to the class action suit using this easy contact form for one of the law firms involved:
Hey, Mastodon, I'm working a new writing playlist. Does anyone have any suggestions for good songs for someone who feels called to a purpose bigger than themself? (This is in a high fantasy world, so I'm not looking for any religious music, just: the feeling of I'm needed/destined for something BIG!)

Hey, if everyone could send some good thoughts towards our sweet cat, Pebbles, I would really appreciate it. She spent last night at the emergency vets with so-far-undiagnosed (but worrying) issues, & we're taking her back to our regular vets this afternoon. (This is a photo from 2 days ago.)
My copy of Rebecca Thorne's A Pirate's Life for Tea just arrived with perfect timing (it's been a heck of a week, for multiple reasons, so I NEED some cozy romantic fantasy goodness right now!), and I love this dedication. ;) #sapphic
Oof, covid really is everywhere right now. The relatives we're staying with in California have covid, and when I messaged the cattery in Wales to check on Pebbles, it turned out the cattery owner is down with covid as well. Do mask up if you can, everyone, wherever you are!
(So far, Patrick, the kids, and I are testing negative, but...we'll be crossing our fingers tightly for the next few days!)
I write sparkling fantasy rom-coms for adults and fun MG fantasy adventures. I also drink frothy coffee, bake as much as possible, drink excessive amounts of hot chocolate, play with fountain pens, and take photos of my cat. She/her.https://linktr.ee/stephanieburgis
