Indoor #garden check-in, now that the days are truly getting colder.

My focus has been mostly on all the things growing outside for the summer, but yesterday I got around to doing some repotting and general care for all these guys indoors.

This green room is not a bad place to work or study in when it's cold and dark outside.

Havid #covid in a "covid is over" country where values are mostly comprized of luke warm fascism is WILD.

In other countries there is at least discourse. But here, I don't even understand what happened here at all anymore.

My partner called the ER yesterday and said his test is positive. The person on the line fully bypassed the information, just kept talking about cold medications and selfcare for cold/flu symptoms. Like... ???

And I said to my boss that it's covid. No comment. None.

Because fundamentally nothing has changed. Or has, it it far more contagious. But it isn't less dangerous.

And I am expected to go back to work next week, to sit with vulnerable clients and not care that I might even kill them? Is it really true, that people around me don't think about any of this at all? Have they truly decided to go with the fascism this hard?

I will personally just reschedule my work. But how do these people live with themselves? You can't pretend you don't know.

Even on the Fedi I keep seeing Finns post about being sick with "the summer flu" and doing these mindblowingly complex mental gymnastics around whatever allergy symptoms they think they are having. Never even considering it might be the thing that is literally the most likely, if you bother to look at the wastewater chart.

In the outside world if you say "covid" it seems to cause visible dissociation. Everyone just is sick all the time and... I just don't understand it.

The thing about this that angers me the most is that the people who are ignoring this are also libs, progressives and leftists who could not even wear a mask.

People who, when their supposed values would have actually had a cost, decided that "nope, I don't actually care". The same people who realized it doesn't necessarily harm THEM (they'd be wrong, but that is the logic I assume).

It's fascism. You guys are being fash with covid. You are proving the nazi values true in this country.

This is an excellent video. In Europe and places like Finland I have noticed we are moving towards this via privatized "security" firms that don't really answer to anyone. In some ways it looks like we are importing this and making it worse.

Last time I went past my city central I noticed there are now groups of these "security" guards patrolling the literal commons. These guards have already killed people here, I don't feel safe anymore.
