I've said it before, I'll say it again, getting a front-row seat to watch @jonsneyers work on JXL for the better part of a decade has been a total privilege. Having one, authoritative, publicly-available reference link for "how it works" is hugely valuable.

JPEG XL is going to get an official Rust implementation, and that might be enough to get it into Firefox.
