Very sensible.” I do feel that it is unfortunate that the debate around this on mobiles got derailed because of Apple’s suggestion of client side scanning for CSAM. However, an open architecture in iOS and Android for user installable filters that work across all applications seems long overdue. Just as long as idiot politicians don’t then try to subvert it for surveillance.

@neil I have great respect for those poor souls trying to do this within government too, who can’t speak out against the relentless appeal to magic technology. Of course now we all have to contend with the other side of this spurious coin, given that the latest magic technology, AI, is supposedly going to kill us all… Go Red Team.
