I'm currently reading a very nice book on typography (Thinking With Type by Ellen Lupton), and I have noticed with slight concern that I'm no longer able to casually glance at type. I'm now staring at weird things like "eyes", "arms" and "counters" that only I can see, and I find myself trying to determine if the logo on my beermat is Humanist or Transitional. Not sure I'm happy about this new obsession, but I guess that's where I'm at now (also, I have a feeling it's only going to get worse)
