It hit me yetserday how many events/conferences I'm missing because of not knowing it's happening. Now I want to make a simple calendar-ish public thingy where people can put conf info. But of course, it probably exists already and someone will get back to me with the info.

@fsf talking with someone today had me seen him present an argument that if the term "free software" does not have any sort of legal definition, then a law (by the state perhaps) could potentially define it in another way and thus render our usage of "free as in freedom" illegal, thus the point that free does not mean "free as in beer" but "free as in free speech" cannot contend.

I find this very thought provoking. How should one think about this?

@fsf I'm so tired of iphone users going on and on about how privacy oriented iphones are. I spend my fair share of time fighting but at this point I am simply content with the fact that my ears aren't bleeding.
