As a part of my code review anxiety research, I’ve given six workshops on managing #code review anxiety in the last 2.5 weeks. I’ll wait to share the workshop content after analyzing the data and writing the paper, but here are some quick reflections from this work before I take a well-earned vacation. 🧵

Real humans with real feelings write the code you are reviewing. It is so easy to forget that when you’re reviewing, but taking the extra minute to review with kindness and inclusion can be transformative, even if you don't think the person feels anxious (bc tbh they might!)
