Been up all night with friends going through the unpleasantly long lists of infosec people in the Epstein Files. Yikes, guys. I knew some of them were pieces of shit, already - but too many other people fell for a transparent bid to illegitimatize elections, and I said so then. 🤷🏻♀️😞
I would stake my reputation on the fact that Jen nor Chris would have uploaded sensitive documents to ChatGPT.
Elections have consequences.
I need to tell you another unbelievable Australian fact for Americans which is that you just fill up your car at the service station and go pay inside when you’re done on the honour system
Once again 90% 🤜🏻🤛🏾 of my Short Stack infosec lists on Mastodon and BlueSky are activism, tech ethics, and human rights posts and I’m very proud of you all. I just really wish more people got the things you do:
- everything is political
- nobody is coming to save us
- action that matters is hard
While you were waffling on deleting a free social media account numerous innocent people were shot, beaten and sent to concentration camps.
I managed to leave a whole damn country by losing half my income and most of my belongings. FFS. -This- is the threshold to DELETE A HANDLE?
Not me seeing "I sold my Tesla" and "I quit Twitter" posts in January 2026.
Sorry, but no. You had at least a year, generously. We know where you stand.
My cousin from Minneapolis is staying with me for a few weeks. She can only stay for a few weeks. I wish I knew what else I could do.
Oh my god people
I don't know how Teramind managed to get two people's photos completely mixed up with somebody else, tag a dead person as the future of cybersecurity, and include someone under community legal action, but this is the most egregious case of LinkedIn lists I have ever had the unfortunate luck to be included in.
I was on @smashingsecurity and we were extremely silly but educational. Come find out the correct star sign to catfish people. It is not Wars or Trek, sadly.

I think the only other more ludicrous accusation I have received on the internet was somebody claiming that I used my position as a conference organizer to sleep with male band members.
I had not met the band, and am queer and asexual.
(Me just happily going along as a political refugee in another country publicly speaking against LLM use.)
Yo, I just got accused of both using LLMs to write content and shilling for the (current) US military industrial complex, and I have not seen a human being be more confidently incorrect on the internet since somebody mansplained Ian's own research to them.
I think one of the wildest parts of the Epstein Files fiasco to me is billionaires are so different that they talk about the darkest most blackmailable secrets of the worlds elite in gmail when I am miserably embarrassed Google is retaining my everyday online cosplay purchase history to train AI.
I have to have a deeply uncomfortable conversation with people my age and older about how they’re missing essential skills ATS will automatically reject without. How they’ll look to the computer worse than a new grad. Don’t trust corporations. Never trust corporations.
One of the crappiest trends I’m seeing in my mentorship sessions today is people getting laid off from large corporations after 20-40 years of silo right now. It’s really appalling if not unexpected.
If you’ve been somewhere over 5, 10, 20 years it’s worth looking at your employability elsewhere.
I’m hiring (Australia remote) Senior OT DFIR http://job-boards.greenhouse.io/dragos/jobs/5013899008
This isn’t targeted at anyone in specific - I have had the conversation like 6 times this week,
Americans -
You need a work visa to work in another country, -even remote- unless they allow digital nomad
You can’t just go to most countries on a tourist visa and start looking for a visa sponsor & job
This Threads series is … really a great synopsis of how insane the past 24 hours have been on X since the location feature was switched on and then… quite promptly off 😀😅🫠
I am eminently qualified to speak from experience about a variety of dumpster fires.ICS cybersecurity person, @pancakescon organizer, martial artist, marksman, humanist, level 14 Neutral Good rogue, USAF retired.
