Don’t feel guilt for celebrating Christmas with your family. Feel gratitude. But don’t stay silent about those in Ukraine who can’t. Speak for the ones whose tables are empty, whose homes are gone, whose loved ones are missing.

Imagine Christmas morning: your loved ones hiding from drones, missiles raining down, silence after every explosion a gamble between hope and grief. This is Ukraine. This is Kharkiv. This is my family. This is the life I hate. And the blood-soaked name behind it is russia.

Today I learned that someone I knew was killed on the frontlines. For a year, he held the line for Ukraine, facing death so we could live. Now, his death feels like a wound the world cannot see.

Another russian strike, this time on Kryvyi Rih. Two civilians dead, 17 injured. The toll of this war on innocent lives grows every day, if not every hour.

In Kharkiv, a tram glows bright, lighting the way for a city that never lost its spark.

In Kharkiv, they decorated the ruined city administration building for Christmas. Amid the rubble and the silence of war, lights now shine. A surreal defiance – celebrating life where it was meant to be erased. Even in ruins, the heart of the city beats with the light of hope.

When legends meet heroes🔥

Ukraine’s Peaky Blinders unit, known for defending Kharkiv, received 30 caps from series creator Steven Knight. They gifted two to Cillian Murphy – he kept one as a tribute & signed the other to return to the defenders.

It is going to be the third Christmas underground in Kharkiv. No carols, only sirens. No snowflakes, only falling debris. For the third time, we will have only one wish.

This morning, 53-year-old Oleksandr from Vovchansk took his three dogs, documents, canned food, and photo albums and set off for evacuation. He walked 15 km until the police picked him up. He decided to leave the town after a russian tank damaged his house. Vovchansk is devastated, with russian troops constantly attack the town.

Shahed drones used by russia to strike Sumy last night were equipped with shrapnel, according to RMA head Artiukh.

“This weapon is designed to kill people, not destroy infrastructure. This is the first time we’ve seen this in Sumy,’ the official stated.

Hours after a missile strike on a residential building in Sumy killed 10 civilians, including two children, and injured more than 50 people, russian forces launched another attack on the city, targeting infrastructure and plunging it into darkness.
