"The WHO and CDC chose, at the outset of the pandemic, to assume that COVID was transmitted via droplet. Not only did this assumption turn out to be wrong, it was presented to the public as a scientific fact, rather than what it was - an overly optimistic guess informed by bias and motivated reasoning. This original sin of the pandemic was not a case of misinterpreted or ambiguous findings. Global health bodies decided to declare the virus droplet-borne because of long-held, incorrect prejudices, and the logistical and legal nightmare that airborne infection control would have represented."

We are slowly concluding the collection phase of the contributions for the zine "Testimonials of the Collectively Abandoned". If you are still working on something please send it to us in the coming week to make sure it will be included in the PDF Version of the zine. Until 10.1.24
Late contributions can of course be added to the web version of the zine.
So this is not really like a hard deadline, but it kind of is. If that makes sense?!

    An open call for submissions!
We are compiling a zine/collection of works of art.
Working title: "Testimonials of the collectively abandoned"
Our main theme is the isolation that comes from being #CovidAware and #CovidCautious in a world that has decided to abandon anyone who does not consent to infection.
We need our voices heard. We want to hear your voices and experiences.
The impact of neoliberal, hyper-individualistic thinking when "designing" "public health" policies is not abstract. It has very real impact on our lives, and we believe it needs to be documented.

We invite you to share your short stories/anecdotes soundscapes, paintings etc about the topic.
Anonymous or pseudonymous contributions are welcome. you can add a link/information on how to support your work, as well as how you want your work to be credited/attributed, or if you want it to be CC0 for example.
    Send submissions to:

#introduction We are currently a small group of chronically ill/disabled/ people and their carers, aiming to create a supportive space for each other in this isolating pandemic. We are antiableist and antifascist.
On this account we will share our groups projects and invite people to participate in them with us.
We gladly welcome emails from people who might be interested in joining our group.

    Radical Communal Care

This group aims to be a network for disabled and/or chronically ill persons (especially people negatively affected by the ongoing pandemic), and their partners, a place where communal care can be discussed and examined from an anarchistic/feminist viewpoint, but also a place to put it into practice.Patriarchy kills.Ableism isolates and kills.Anti-capitalistWe have various plans to create zines and collections of art about covid, the pandemic and the collective abandonment of disabled people
