Yet again #Signal presents itself as a total UX disaster. A family member decided to move from Android to iOS, and apparently there is no migration path for that in Signal; getting conversations and media attachments to the new device is simply impossible.
But hey, at least @signalapp has Stories amirite?

I have this dear person who I’d love to chat more with but who cannot be convinced to install other messenger besides #WhatsApp. I’m haven’t had WhatsApp for years because I don’t touch Meta/Facebook products with a 10ft pole. I have tons of other messengers though!
This person on the other hand—his reason to only have WhatsApp is that 99.99% of his contacts are on WhatsApp, and being some sort of “app minimalist”. So I guess I’m that 0.01%, they cannot be bothered about, and that makes me sad.
