@gamingonlinux I wonder if once the game is completed they decide to expand on it, implementing some kind of scenario with a meta-map and permanent battlefields, kind of like Dawn of War: Dark Crusade or Star Wars:Empire at War, I always like it when a project does something similar
@gamingonlinux How is it in the current state of Early Access? I could decide to buy it to take advantage of the early adopter price, but I've been burned on some less fortunate EA projects in the past
@gamingonlinux My 2 cents: AI assets should be only used as quick and dirty placeholder stuff, used exclusively to get to the prototyping phase faster, a player should never see them in the final game
Controversially(?), I hold this position for stock assets too (except for sound effects), as using them deprives the game itself for an opportunity of self-characterization and identity
@gamingonlinux Additionally, if someone wants to install multiple pieces of software at once, they can go on packagepicker.co and pick up what they want from the limited pool, the site will then generate a single command to run on the terminal (obligatory disclaimer to always be cautious of random scripts on the internet)
@gamingonlinux There has been a great influx of retro inspired 3d platformers, just last August we got one inspired by the Ratchet & Clank games, I wonder if there are any who are going for Jak & Dexter vibes
