Here’s a story about my display name. A few years ago I made up a Japanese name for myself with weird and seemingly random characters: 吉士代代子. There is a personal reason behind these characters, based in a completely Chinese setting, but I don’t really need to elaborate on it here. So i just came up with this fake Japanese name that only I know its meaning and started using it on my Chinese social media then.
